Traffic Police DIPS Course

Driver Improvement Points System (DIPS) was introduced to identify and rehabilitate drivers to improve their driving behaviors on the roads with incentives to expunge their demerit points and previous suspension record as well as remission of suspension period. If they take and pass the retraining course, their suspension period will be given a remission.

Is the DIPS Course Compulsory?

The DIPS course is voluntary. If they take and pass the retraining course, their suspension period will be given a remission.

DIPS Course Curriculum & Duration

The course is a 1 and a half day program which includes:- - 8 hours of theory via Zoom on the 1st day, and - 2 hours of practical driving & 2 hours of assessment on the 2nd day Attendance is compulsory. Applicants must complete Theory training before proceeding to Practical training. The theory component is conducted online via Zoom Meeting. Learners need not come to CDC for the theory component. However, learners will have to come to CDC for the practical driving component.

How To Enrol for DIPS? Timeline for Enrolment?

Only eligible motorists who have received a notification letter from Traffic Police may enrol for the DIPS course. Enrolment has to be made within 14 days from the date of the letter. You may choose to enrol online or over the Customer Service Centre counters. How to Book for DIPS Course Date?

- Upon successful enrolment, please login to the booking portal with your Learner ID. - You will need to select "Book Lesson" to choose your preferred course date/time. - Click "Confirm" to book in your selected date/time. Payment reflected will be deducted from your Store Value Account, no additional payment is required. DIPS Absenteeism/ Unable to Register for Course Before Deadline

Course applicant will need to proceed to the Traffic Police Headquarters and request for a new Letter of Registration, if eligible to re-register for the DIPS Course.

Cancellation/ Reschedule/ Postponement for DIPS

No cancellation is allowed for DIPS Course. Course applicant will need to proceed to the Traffic Police Department at CDC Level 2 to submit any relevant supporting documents for any change in course date.
