What is the Simulator Training About?

With effect from 16 December 2019, all Class 2, 2A, 2B, 3 or 3A learner motorists are required to complete driving or riding simulator training before they are allowed to book their Practical Driving or Riding Tests.

This is part of the Traffic Police’s continual efforts to help learner motorists better prepare for various road situations, and to inculcate good and safe driving habits in them.

In the Simulator training, learners undergo 3 modules where they drive on simulated roads under various conditions that simulate potential road hazards.

This enables them to enhance their ability to recognize and respond to potential road hazards in a safe and controlled environment. In the process, learners enhance their defensive driving competencies.
