1. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
- a. An applicant who is booking/taking the Traffic Police Theory or Practical Driving/ Riding Test must be physically and mentally fit to drive/ride a vehicle and should not cause the driving by him/her to be a source of danger to the public. Those who have the following illness may not be subjected to a driving test:-
- i. Colour blind,
- ii. Suffering from fits or epilepsy,
- iii. Mental Illness/ Mental Health Disorder
- iv. Other illnesses that causes fainting or unconsciousness
- b. The applicant must not have more than 12 demerit points awarded to him/her under the Drivers Improvement Points System or have cases pending against him/her which will make him/her liable to be awarded a total of more than 12 demerit points.
- c. The applicant should not be under any suspension or disqualification from riding/driving any class of vehicle.
- d. The applicant should not be within the period of one year from the date of the revocation of his/her licence for any class of vehicle.
- e. The applicant should not have any pending court case(s) against him/her which will make him/her liable to be disqualified from driving.
- f. If the applicant is a new driver, he/she should not have two or more cases of of not displaying distinguishing mark (i.e. Probation Plate) against him/her, whether the cases are concluded or otherwise.
- g. No multiple bookings of Traffic Police test dates across the test centres is allowed. Any multiple bookings of test will be cancelled and no refund of the test fees will be made.
- h. All test fees paid for the booking of Traffic Police test dates shall not be refundable.
- i. Any booking of Traffic Police Practical Driving/ Riding Test without a valid Provisional Driving Licence (PDL) will be cancelled and refund of test fees will not be made.
- j. LATECOMER will not be allowed to attend the test.
- k. Pregnant testee(s) taking the Traffic Police Practical Driving/ Riding Test must produce doctor's letter to certify that she is fit to take on all aspects of the test on that day. (Test date must be specified)
- l. The applicant must produce SINGAPORE IDENTITY CARD/ SINGAPORE PASSPORT for identification purposes when attending the test. Foreigners must produce VALID EMPLOYMENT PASS/ WORK PERMIT. Duplicate copy of the identity card or passport, including temporary identity card replacement slip will not be accepted.
- m. PROPER ATTIRE is required for all Traffic Police Practical Driving/ Riding Test – no slippers/ sandals are allowed
- n. The following timings are non-computerised theory test:- 8.50am, 10.25am, 2.15pm & 3.40pm.
For the non-computerised test, the test result will be mailed to you within 7 working days.
The test will be conducted at Skylight, Level 3, ComfortDelGro Driving Centre. Please bring a black or blue pen for the test.
2 .PREREQUISITE FOR SPECIFIC PRACTICAL TESTS
- a. Class 3/ 3A
- i. The applicant should be within two years of having passed his/her FTT; and
- ii. Must possess a valid Class 3 PDL
- b. Class 2B
- i. The applicant should be within one year of having passed his/her RTT; and
- ii. Must possess a valid Class 2B PDL
- c. Class 2A/ 2
- i. The applicant must possess a valid Class 2B/ 2A licence for at least one year from date of grant of licence
